The Heritage at Gaines Ranch is a mid-rise 250-unit luxury senior assisted living community sited along the Barton Creek Greenbelt in southwest Austin, Texas. Located on a prominent ridgeline, the site features lush vegetation and spectacular views of the Texas Hill Country to the west.
Because of its location along the environmentally-sensitive Barton Creek Corridor, the project required extraordinary care to protect existing site conditions and adjacent properties during construction. Numerous existing Live Oaks were saved on the site. Additionally, the client desired a dense, mature landscape immediately upon completion, thus requiring the use of unusually large trees and shrubs. Land Design Studio delivered this project through a Design/Build contract and provided design services for all outdoor amenities on the site including landscape, hardscape, irrigation and lighting for yards, courtyards, terraces, and parking areas throughout the site.
